When shopping 100% organic it can be an adjustment to your wallet, and even though this is an investment in your health, it is still a concern and adjustment for many people. However, certain types of food, especially produce should never be bought conventionally grown.
Over 68% of food samples have been tested by the USDA and the FDA to have detectable pesticide residue. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) works to protect kids from toxic chemicals in our food, water, air and the products we use every day. They have recently updated the famous Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 list to help consumers choose their produce wisely to decrease the exposure of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and other chemicals that are sprayed on our crops.
Still not convinced about organic produce? Take a look at this chart and see for youself the nutrient value in organic produce compared to conventional produce. Invest in your health and spend your money wisely on food that will nourish you!
